I am a Latin American graduate student with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. I am close to finalizing a Master of Architecture and a Master in Urban Planning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I am passionate about architectural theory and criticism, music, photography, art history, and writing. The desire to find a niche where I can leverage my passions and talents has led me to start independent projects such as this blog and a music podcast.

My training in architecture was fundamentally guided by a humanist model focused on liberal arts. I have embodied my understanding of architecture as a method of critique, rather than profit, that questions how a design is conceived and how significant its impact can be. I am inspired by any creative work that balances a deep art sensibility with social responsibility, and I am not attracted to design projects based on absolute or generic systems of beliefs.
